ALL ABOUT: Infrared Therapy

What is infrared therapy?

Simply put, infrared therapy is a light based treatment that may help other parts of your body heal.

Your skin will be exposed to either a lamp or handheld device (pending your area of concern) with a red light. Your cells will soak up that energy to make more energy, hence helping things heal better and faster!

The best option here is loose fitting clothes. I do request that all cosmetic and skin creams be removed prior to treatments. Also, if you are taking any anti-inflammatories or using retinol to consult your doctor prior to treatment.

As much as I hate to answer a question, with another question, I think the better question is, “What doesn’t infrared therapy treat?” There are studies done on a variety of ailments proving infrared therapy is a great choice.

Currently (as of this blog post) costs will be as follows:

Individual infrared therapy session: $55 (30 minutes)

As an add on for your session: $20 (add approx. 15 minutes to your treatment time)

The best part about infrared therapy is it's completely painless.

  • Pain relief: Infrared therapy can help alleviate muscle aches, joint pain, and stiffness by increasing circulation and reducing inflammation.

  • Improved circulation: The heat generated by infrared therapy helps dilate blood vessels, improving blood flow and oxygenation to tissues throughout the body.

  • Relaxation: Infrared therapy promotes relaxation by soothing sore muscles, reducing stress hormones, and triggering the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers.

  • Detoxification: Sweating induced by infrared therapy helps rid the body of toxins and impurities, promoting overall health and well-being.

  • Enhanced skin health: Infrared therapy may improve the appearance of the skin by promoting collagen production, reducing wrinkles and fine lines, and enhancing skin tone and texture.

Appointments can vary from 30 minutes to an hour. A general rule of thumb is about 15 minutes per area of the body.

Sure do, yup! Rest assured, they are cleaned (and sanitized) after each appointment.

Yes! The deep penetrating heat of infrared light can help relax muscles, reduce inflammation, and improve circulation, which may lead to temporary relief from pain and stiffness.

After is best, as it can be used to accelerate muscle recovery and reduce the risk of injury.

I have two! One is more for bigger areas of the body, and I have a handheld version for use on your face or the smaller areas of your body.

No problem! Reach out to me and I'll be more than happy to help you!
